It certainly is mine! I’m Shana, the trepidatious creator of this site. The idea of a blog has been stewing in my mind for many years. Since I first began to think of it, I knew it would have something to do with simple, wholesome living. Not because I’ve reached the pinnacle of simple and wholesome, but because it calls to me. How I love the smells of the kitchen, a soft cozy throw, and hot soup on a cold day! My senses thrill to a pair of warm pajamas, a cup of spiced tea, and the aroma of sourdough bread fresh from the oven. I delight in country drives with my sweetheart, walking with my kitties in the yard, and the sight of new blooms on the begonias that survived the winter.

I am married to the sweetheart of my youth, and he and I have built a life together for nearly three decades. In that time, I have certainly NOT become a master chef nor a master housekeeper. However, I delight in the little things of home, and I hope you find inspiration in my sharing of some simple foods, projects, gardening, and ideas for creating beauty in the corners of your home.
